Over the years we have visited Padstow many times. We have also occasionally took the ferry to Rock and found nothing of interest. This time due to our location we parked at Rock and took the ferry to Padstow. What a good idea… Parking was a breeze and the ferry added fun to the journey, except for Max who is scared of boats.. We also found Rock does have more to it than expensive houses!

Padstow in May is just the right level of busy. Everything is open but there is space to move. A cornish pastie for dinner is almost obligatory along with a mooch in the shops, most of which welcome dogs.

Seems we have a thing for new lead and collar sets. The well stocked harbour shop Slickers – Doghouse had such a great range of colourful Ezydog Zero-Shock leads we couldn’t resist. Max chose Denim, Jessie bright red.
Padstow is a great place to visit, vibrant and busy. And both sides of the estuary have stunning sand.

Todays entertainment was from a very talented busker… we sat and listened for about 30 minutes.
